Dieter Schiele

Already born into a family of artists, Dieter Schiele preferred to spend his free time since childhood painting and drawing the animals from the local forest. At the age of 27 he then decided to devote himself entirely to painting.
In addition to his main motifs such as hunting and horses, Dieter Schieler also painted several fish motifs.

His success quickly led to major exhibitions in Frankfurt, Dortmund, Essen, Hanover and Munich, among other places, and Schiele's works were also shown internationally, for example in Paris, Brussels, Geneva, Stockholm, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh.
In 1998 Dieter Schiele was awarded the Culture Prize of the German Hunting Protection Association.

Dieter Schiele on the technique of his paintings:
"It is called old master art. It is the application of oil glaze painting. It almost fell into oblivion with the beginning of Impressionist painting. Why? Because only the old masters took the time to apply up to seventeen layers of paint. Each layer must be completely dry. Each brushstroke, because it shines through, must be put back in exactly the right place."

It is said about him:
He is a realist and has familiarised himself with nature and arranged his life accordingly. His work is both life and an expression of his love and gratitude towards the things that surround him.

Dieter Schiele passes on his great experience in drawing and painting seminars.

This year Dieter Schiele will again exhibit his fantastic paintings at the EWF. Visit the artist at his stand in the Stadtsaal and be enchanted by his works of art.
