The race, held by High Tide Runs in Santa Monica, California, took place on New Year's Eve, and the drummer had some special support from the sidelines.
Kourtney Kardashian Barker was on hand to cheer him across the finish line at Santa Monica State Beach. Afterward, she reposted Barker’s Instagram stories commemorating the event on her own page.
“Ending 2023 with a bang 🥇,” Barker wrote in the caption for his post on Instagram, which depicted him showing off his medal.
Barker finished with a gun time of 2:12:22 (10:06 mile pace) and ran in a pair of On shoes, which we believe to be the Cloudmonster.
He ran the race under the name Clarence Worley, a reference to his favorite film, True Romance, which he also used as the theme for his wedding to Kardashian in 2022. His daughter, Alabama, is also named for Patricia Arquette’s character in the film. Numerous Xavier Worthy Breaks NFL Combine 40-Yard Record of “Worley” running with friends along the race course.
Barker appeared no worse for wear after the race, partying into the evening with Kardashian in anticipation of the new year. Kardashian shared more photos of their New Year’s Eve dinner set up on Instagram, including a table set with party hats, candles, glasses, and plates with a heart and cross.
