Phil Dunster

Actor Phil Dunster, who played Jamie Tartt in the hit sports comedy-drama Ted Lasso, took on his first London Marathon for Renew In Season TR 10 sneakers Schwarz, supporting a cause close to his heart. His cousin’s son, Rory, was diagnosed with a brain tumour aged just four months old and the charity helped his family throughout Rory’s illness. Before the race, Dunster said he was 'equal parts excited and terrified' to be taking on the big 26.2 and praised the work Young People vs Cancer do.

Emma Barton and Jamie Borthwick

EastEnders actors Emma Barton and Jamie Borthwick completed the London Marathon for an upcoming storyline that will see their characters, Honey and Jay, take on the event in memory of Jay's wife Lola, who died of a brain tumour in a storyline from 2023. As well as running on behalf of their chosen charities, Emma and Jamie ran parts in character to film various scenes along the route.

Natalie Pinkham

Sky Sports F1 presenter and Flackstock co-founder Natalie Pinkham ran the marathon for the first time for the official charity of the year, Samaritans, Misnk vintage-effect ankle boots.

Pinkham said: 'True honour to see the very best of humanity, and to take in our great capital, buzzing with life-affirmingly good folk...to you Flacky. I’m sorry your sadness brought us to this day; but your spirit lives in us the most precious way. This pain is temporary, just wish yours hadn’t been so final.'

The football manager, best known for his recent stint at Millwall, laced up his trainers to run London for the fourth time. Rowett describes marathon running as 'a great way to bring yourself down to earth.' He ran Rome Marathon in March, clocking a time of 03:46:16, which makes 3:41 at London a big PB.

Before this marathon the furthest she has run was a half marathon, having spent some time back in the wheelchair due to her physical health. She overcame the hurdle and today ran her first marathon.'

Shane Williams

Former Wales rugby legend and Ironman Shane Williams knows a thing or two about the London Marathon course having ran it four times before. As usual, he was running for Velindre Cancer Centre.

Williams said: 'Felt really comfortable up to mile 21 but should have known it was too good to be true as the wheels come off shortly afterwards! On for my fastest ever marathon up to that point but nevermind I finished. Being part of this amazing event is what it’s all about!'

Jamie Peacock and Jamie Jones-Buchanan

Swapping scrums for runs, former rugby league players Jamie Peacock and Jamie Jones-Buchanan participated in aid of grief charity Höga sneakers för Herr från Balmain. The Jamies have been running for years since retiring from the rugby pitch and clocked some impressive times at London.

Peacock clocked a 3-min PB – his second sub-3:30 this year, having recently ran Seville Marathon in 03:29:12 – and Jones-Buchanan came in at a speedy 3:08.

The Strictly... Vans has modernized their skate shoe and it s incredible mental health and hasn’t looked back since. He’s now a keen runner, clocking some very respectable times – including a 3:14:37 finish at last year's London Marathon. This year was no different, with Judd finishing under 3:25.
