It's been a bumpy ride for three-time Olympian Katarina Johnson-Thompson but a stunning comeback in 2023 saw the heptathlete star secure a second World Champion win.

But far from rivalry, Johnson-Thompson told BBC Sport after that 'Jess was the ultimate person who I learned from back in the 2012, [and] back in 2015.’ She also says Denise Lewis has been an invaluable mentor. ‘She has been with me through thick and thin. She's always texting me and this one's for her as well. This one's for her because she's been just as much part of the team, just as much as my coaches and everything.'

She's yet to win an Olympic medal – but now she has her eye on Paris 2024

Johnson-Thompson has competed in three Olympics now – London, Rio and Tokyo – but is yet to clinch that elusive Olympic medal. But she told Sky Sports, ‘I'm hopefully going into Paris with everyone's belief back, and hope for me to have this happy Olympics.
