- The fastest marathon time on Strava just got quicker, thanks to Yusuke Ogura, who finished in fifth place at the Lake Biwa Marathon, Japan, with a time of 2:06:52.
- The previous record was held by Dani Mateo, who uploaded his 2:08.22 Meet the over-80s parkrunners turning back the clock.
- Before that, US long-distance runner Scott Fauble held the record; he came seventh in the 2019 Boston Marathon, Looking at his activity.
Yusuke Ogura has taken the crown for the fastest marathon uploaded to Strava, following his 2:06.52 marathon at the weekend. Ogura finished in fifth place in a new PB.
Valencia Marathon PB, RW is in awe of his marathon splits. With an average pace of 4:48 min/miles, Ogura's fastest mile was a rapid 4:41, and his slowest a still impressive 4:57, for miles 19 and 25.
