53 years old, living in the Unterallgäu region of Bavaria.
I have been fishing for over 40 years, and about 20 years ago I took my first steps with fly fishing. For the last 10 years, I have focused exclusively on fly fishing. I spend every free minute by the water or at my vise.
My passion was truly ignited by a caddisfly hatch, and luckily, I had the right pattern in my fly box at the time. I got back into fly tying thanks to another incredible caddisfly hatch, but this time I didn't have the right pattern in my box...
For me, the most beautiful way to fish is with a dry fly for grayling on my home waters, the Wertach River.
I owe a great deal to my mentor and buddy, Peter Reiner, and my friends Regina Maghuna, Franz Halla, Christian Kirchermeier, and Michael Neitzel, who accompanied me on my journey to becoming a fly fisherman and fly tier.
I have been a member of the E.F.F.A. since last year. I was actively involved and had the opportunity to exhibit at the trade fairs in Friedrichshafen and Augsburg.
Being part of the 21st EWF is a great honour for me, and I was incredibly happy to receive the invitation. Thank you so much, Michaela & Robert!
