Newton Gravity V - Women’s

Runner’s World Review

The five lugs under the Gravity V are tuned to deliver the highly responsive ride of early Newton shoes, meaning this is a fast-feel shoe, but one with plenty of cushioning in both heel and forefoot. This update refines the upper, most noticeably in the panels on each side at the ball of the foot. Testers said this produced the feeling of a wide toebox within a nicely snug overall fit.

We put each shoe through real-world usage and a battery of mechanical tests in our lab to provide you with objective — and exclusive — data. In addition to a shoe's weight, we measure sole thickness (everything that sits between your foot and the road), how well the foam cushions your stride, and the flexibility of the forefoot. All this is taken into account in our reviews of each shoe.
