Coon relished the opportunity to play soccer and run track at the DIII school: “I also can’t believe I was able to participate in plays in addition to sports—something I don’t think would have been possible at a Division I or II school.”
She stopped competing on the track team after her second year at Mount Union, however, to perform in plays, according to The Alliance Review.
Coon’s character, Laurie, is vacationing at the notorious White Lotus hotel in Thailand with two of her childhood friends, Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan) and Kate (Leslie Bibb). In the finale during the episode’s climax, Laurie shows off that patented speed. 25 years after the sub-60 400 at her conference meet, she’s still got it.
