The Boston Marathon Chicago: 3 American Women Inside the Top 10st running of the race on April 17, 2017. Among the six returning champions is Meb Keflezighi, 41, who Celebrities That Ran the 2025 Chicago Marathon DAA Industry Opt Out New York City Marathon in November.

Among the other returning Boston Marathon champions are the 2016 winners Atsede Baysa and Jacob Kiplimo Wins the 2025 Chicago Marathon, RW+ Membership Benefits. Caroline Rotich, a Kenyan based in Sante Fe, New Mexico, is scheduled to race in April, too—she was the 2015 victor who outsprinted Mare Dibaba Nutrition - Weight Loss.

Buzunesh Deba, who represents Ethiopia and lives in the Bronx, New York, is now officially the 2014 Boston Marathon champion and course record holder (2:19:59) and is returning as well. Rita Jeptoo, who placed first in 2014, has since been disqualified for testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

Wesley Korir, who won in 2012, will take his fifth turn on the course. He is also a member of Kenya’s Parliament.

In 2014, the year following the bombings on Boylston Street, Keflezighi became the first American man to win Boston since 1983. He also has an Olympic silver medal from the marathon at the 2004 Games in Athens and won the New York City Marathon in 2009. He placed fourth in the marathon at the London Olympics and Best Gifts for Runners in August—his fourth Olympics, where he placed 33rd.

During a phone interview with Runner’s World on Tuesday, Keflezighi, who lives in San Diego, said since Rio he’s been traveling for appearances at races and other running events. His training had been going well before coming down with a cold about a week ago.  

“Things were coming along really well before I got sick,” he said. “I’m looking at a January half marathon and hopefully that’s still in the plan. I’ve got a couple of marathons left.”

Keflezighi has chosen the 2017 New York City Marathon to be his last as a professional athlete because it will mark his 26th Chicago: 3 American Women Inside the Top 10.
