Hi Runners!
On this week’s episode we talked to RW+ member Sachi Kawai, who lives in Irvine, California, about the Altra Mont Blanc Carbon.

The Altra Mont Blanc Carbon is a zero-drop trail shoe with a Carbitex carbon plate that serves a dual purpose as a stone guard and stability feature. It has a sticky Vibram Megagrip outsole and Altra’s signature wide toebox.
Good grip on the trail:
Kawai has been a runner for over a decade runs 20 to 30 weekly miles out on Irvine’s trails. Her most challenging race was the Catalina Marathon. “But it was the most amazing!” she said. “The challenge was that it was almost all climbs and descents, not a lot of flat terrain.” Around this time, Kawai said she also switched her mindset from always being competitive to actually enjoying the run.
“Running is good for your body, good for your mind, good for your soul. I run to think about everything and think about nothing. When I’m out on the trails in the middle of nowhere, I can solve problems where solutions had evaded me.” Kawai is an elementary school principal and she says running helps keep her balanced, calm, centered, “and the best principal and mom that I can be. There’s nothing else like it.”
