If you’ve been hunting for the hard-to-obtain, proven-fast, $250 (read: expensive) Nike кепка оригінал 100, allow me to offer an alternative that boasts some of the same technology at a lower cost: the Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit. Both shoes feature a full Flyknit upper and a carbon-fiber plate that runs the length of the midsole, which are designed to improve breathability and help propel you forward as you run, respectively, and both shoes seem to feel better the faster you run, according to our testers. The key differences are that the Zoom Fly Flyknit has a Nike Nike jordan стильні кросівки найк різнокольорові 36-40 claim of making its users run more efficiently.

Still, an exact comparison between these shoes does neither justice. The Vaporfly 4% is made for record breaking, whether personal or global, and that singular purpose limits its generalizability. And while the Zoom Fly Flyknit is also intended for running fast, it is a less expensive, slightly heavier option that could equally serve racers and everyday runners who like to incorporate faster runs into their training.

Soft and responsive, elegant and performance-minded, made for racing and for training, the Nike Zoom Fly Flyknit encompasses some of the most desirable running shoe traits imaginable—even those that seem to contradict one another.

An engineer flyknit upper provides a sock-like fit and superior breathability.

The Flyest Upper Out There

This shoe’s one-piece, Flyknit upper is engineered to provide a fit that forms to your foot— simultaneously reducing the potential for rubbing-induced blisters and increasing breathability. The upper doesn’t just form around the top of your foot, though. Its ankle collar gently wraps your ankle, making the transition from foot to shoe as seamless as possible at every point of contact. Runner’sWorld Special Projects Editor, Kit Fox, praised the feel and benefits of this material after testing the shoe.

“I love the upper meshing, which fits like a sock but doesn’t form any hotspots,” Fox said.

My experience running in this shoe led me to similar thoughts. Notably, the upper feels as great as it looks, but it’s not without compromise. I think this shoe will perform best for neutral runners with regular width or slightly narrow feet. Having a slightly wide foot, there were times, especially as I turned corners at sub 7-minute pace, where it felt like my foot was sliding off the midsole. Those sensations were brief and my foot quickly re-centered itself each time, but I was a little more cautious when turning or navigating poorly-paved sidewalks in this shoe.

Carbon-Fiber Plate + Super Soft Midsole = Everyday Speed

As stated above, this shoe features the same carbon-fiber plate, which Nike advertises as a “launchpad,” that is found in the speedy Vaporfly 4%. The effects of this plate are noticeable when you pick up the pace because the plate induces a more effective toe off, which leads to a sense of propulsion as you stride. When running in this shoe, it was often that I’d glance down at my GPS watch expecting to see a certain pace, only to realize that I was moving along 10-15 seconds per mile faster than expected. To be fair, this could be me miscalculating my effort or it could be a placebo effect of me expecting to run faster, but I’ve been running consistently for 7 years and I’ve long prided myself on my ability to settle into a pace.

Now, don’t let all this talk about running fast begin to make you think that fast cannot also feel comfortable. To the contrary, this shoe’s Nike React foam midsole scored “very soft” marks in every cushioning category, and it even earned the highest possible heel cushioning score during our RW Lab Tests.

We put each shoe through real-world usage and a battery of mechanical tests in our lab to provide you with objective—and exclusive—data. In addition to a shoe’s weight, we measure sole thickness (everything that sits between your foot and the road), how well the foam cushions your stride, and the flexibility of the forefoot. All this is taken into account in our reviews of each shoe.
