Elliot Santiago After taking some time to focus on their more classic models such as the GEL-Lyte 3 and GEL-1090, ASICS is looking to stir up some excitement for their fans by introducing their more modernized propositions for the Summertime. One being the all new GEL-Venture RE, which from a design standpoint, is heavily inspired by the GEL-Venture 6. From a constructional perspective, many elements from the shape, to the mesh toe boxes, to trail-influenced laces are kept intact, but the outsole has been slightly beefed up to align with today’s crowd that pore over chunky dad runners. Aesthetically, the shoes are crafted with a color palette ideal for the warmer seasons as its titular “Birch” hue is utilized for a majority of its boot including the base layers and treading. Retro-styled accents arrive by way of teal and orange accents located atop the its exposed stitchings and ankle panel, and evoke connections to that of Miami Dolphins team colors.
