Michael Le After Raf Simons literally painted the likeness of models atop the Stan Smith, it’s been quite obvious that adidas has adored such a motif as they continue to craft in homage to the ZX8000 along models the likes of the LXCON OG and now the Torsion Comp. Everything shared, the colorway pairs the very same tones of aqua and neon yellow, though the more recent women takes to the scheme much better than the aforementioned revival. Bearing a trail shoe’s aesthetic — one similar to the pair from which it borrows — all the colors line up relatively close to its muse, with hits of purple placed along the lower half and the bright accenting hits seating the Three Stripes, lining, and even along the sole unit. The bigger differences, however, arrive in the kit’s rendering, which display here a much more structural smooth leather almost entirely.
