The UNC Tar Heels and the Michigan State Spartans will square off this Friday evening in San Diego, CA. What makes the game so special? It’s being played atop an aircraft carrier. Seriously, that’s a whole different level of ‘cool’. Not only does UNC and MSU open its season, but the game festivities itself is a gesture honoring the veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces; seating is limited to just 7,000 spectators – one of which has been confirmed to be the president himself. The game, dubbed the Carrier Classic, will feature the Tar Heels (a Jordan Brand school) and the Spartans (a Nike Basketball school) wearing select colorways of the th model of the Air Jordan series and the jordan flight 45 black grey red second look; we’ve detailed both before, but this midnight, the Carrier Classic Pack will be available for purchase. The two shoes will be sold separately, but are both given the Carrier Classic Pack designation for their role in the iconic game.
