The TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO by New Balance has been churning out unconventional, refreshing offerings ago 2018. For its latest proposal, the Japan-based cohort has reimagined the NB 610T “it” shoe as a slip-on.

Unveiled with the help of Aminé and his limited-to-503-pairs “Mini Mooz” collaboration, the New Balance 14 (the “s” is for slip-on) is ready for a permanent spot in the brand’s lineup. Informed by a trail sneaker launched in 2012 that’s recently been revived by Yue Wu, Footwear Designer at New Balance Lifestyle, the slip-on version delivers a refined aesthetic in line with other projects from the TDS. The silhouette’s Running Bodega design elements from the archival NB 422 and 610, creating a healthy intersection of outdoor functionality and fashion.
