Jared Ebanks As the springtime season chugs along and Earth Day inches closer, a number of brands throughout the sneaker ecosystem have begun basing their footwear models within an ecological ethos. To kick off its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, Saucony adidas Jellyfish Raffles Are Now Live.
Anchored in a leather-free construction, the Massachusetts banner looks to an alternative 90% bio-based formula derived from fungi for application across the Shadow 6000, 3D Grid Hurricane and Shadow 5000. Dipping the latter overlays in “Burgundy”, cream and bright yellow, elsewhere, a myriad of repurposed fabrics imbue the Earth Day aesthetic with a hemp-based mesh, recycled laces and cork footbeds while an identical olive green mushroom at the tongue tab further entrenches the silhouette in environmentally-friendly motifs.
Scheduled to release next Saturday, April 22nd, for a retail price ranging from of $120-$150, in the meantime enjoy an official look at the Saucony “Mushroom Pack” below.
