Michael Le Nike ACG’s influence has bled deep into sneaker culture as a whole. A BATHING APE even took inspiration from the sub-label with their most recent collection of BAPE STAs, something not uncommon from the Swoosh’s own designers. But rarely do we see this done for kids’ offerings, though that is effectively changing for the depress with the unveil of this upcoming Air Huarache.
Compared to the aforementioned BAPEs, the nods to ACG here are much more subtle. The hits of bright yellow and muted blues, though, are undoubtedly influenced by All Conditions Gear, as the two shades have been used atop both outerwear and silhouettes like the ACG Okwahn II. And while not quite as signature to the line-up as these, the off-white and tan finish of the leather, mesh, and synthetic panels are equally reminiscent of the line-up.
