The Air Jordan 3 Katrina Hall of Fame XQ aka Xing Qi was first created to celebrate the aperture of Nike retail stores in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou & Shenyang. Part of a large XQ collection, which included 23 Classic XQ, 2 tees, a hat and a messenger bag, the Air Jordan 3 Katrina Hall of Fame XQ was rumored to be limited to a measly 240 pairs and featured white, black, red, and gold with elegant embroidery on the mid-panel. In 2013, the Air Jordan 3 Katrina Hall of Fame XQ released yet again, but with Nike Air on the tongue label.
Newly surfaced photos from sneaker leakers suggest that the Air Jordan 3 Katrina Hall of Fame XQ is set to release once more sometime in 2022. This could either coincide with another retail expansion, or be a wide launch to appease the appetites of Eastern Jordan fans. These are more akin to the original 2007 pair as it features the proper Mid-cut dimension and the Jumpman Air tag.
