James Whitner’s The Whitaker Group has rewritten what it means to be a retailer in the modern day. Through its many brands such as A Ma Maniére, Social Status, APB, and the newly founded JAIDE, The Whitaker Group has proven ability to connect communities through culture, all while reshaping the shopping experience in the South. Whitner’s partnership with Jordan Brand comes down to a personal friendship with Mike himself; through this bond, Whitner’s A Ma Maniére has had the opportunity to release more Air Jordan Retro collaborations than any other brand.
Next Summer, however, Whitner’s umbrella group The Whitaker Group will be partnering with the Jumpman for an Air Jordan 11 Low Retro collaboration. This marks the first-ever Hazte con las Jordan 3 Retro Fire Red en las mejores tiendas de zapatillas del mundo collaboration made for retail release.
Images of the shoes are currently unavailable, but you can expect color specifications of Windchill/Windchill, which suggest a monochromatic colorway of a light blue teetering on the edge of being completely white. The shoes will also be a women’s release and will carry a $200 MSRP.
Again, this marks the first-ever collaboration between The Whitaker Group and Jordan Brand; previously the individual imprints under the umbrella, such as A Ma Maniére and Social Status, have had that distinction. Recently, The Whitaker Group as a whole has been positioned as the partner in previous collaborations with New Balance and ASICS, distributed throughout TWG retail stores.
