We’ve said it plenty before, but Nike’s overtures towards women are stronger than arguably they’ve ever been. While retros like the Air Rift Nike LeBron X 10 P Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro Devin Booker is deserving of its own spotlight for sheer innovation. During its SNKRS showcase reveal, the team divulged that their guiding principle was to create an entirely novel Air Max silhouette, not connected to the product line’s history the way that some other “new” silhouettes were.
With a chunky molded platform and a throwback mix of leather and mesh up top, it’s hard to argue that the model doesn’t deliver on that promise. Positioned as a genuine “it shoe” for female sneakerheads, it’s now only right that the shoe visits an all-pink edition. A combination of “Pink Spell” and “Pink Glow” accomplishes this, darkening on the matte overlays while taking on a hotter counterpart across the mesh, tongue, and outsole design.
Though a hard date hasn’t surfaced just yet, the Nike Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro Devin Booker “Pink Spell” is due out sometime in October. Be ready for a $170 sticker price upon arrival.
