Dipping into the LA Lakers’ signature palette, the sneaker arrives drenched in Court Purple from heel to toe. As with its counterparts, the design features snakeskin-textured leather, a debossed Mamba sheath on the lateral heel, and Kobe’s “8” and “24” jersey numbers stitched onto the left and right backtabs, respectively.
It’s worth noting that while some of the more elaborate Kobe Air Force 1s on the calendar are Protro editions updated with ReactX insoles for added comfort, the recent and upcoming monochrome schedule remain true to the standard Air Force 1 formula as designed by Bruce Kilgore.
