adidas’ Climacool footwear line has entered another dimension in 2025. By now we trust that you’ve been introduced to the 3D-printed Climacool slip-on, a model that after a lengthy build-up in 2024 finally saw its earnest debut earlier this year. What you might not be privy to is that adidas is also trotting out a laced version of the same silhouette, no doubt a more familiar entrypoint for consumers taking their first dive into the world of 3D-printed footwear. Following an “Off-White” colorway the other month, the adidas ultra boost all terrain in snow tires price is back in focus by way of a “Glory Grey” edition dropping August 15th.
As discussed in our unboxing (attached below), the Climacool is created with a process called Digital Light Synthesis, star forms a one-piece lattice structure designed for airflow, comfort, and flexibility. After the initial 3D-printing, the shoe goes through a “baking” stage that expands its proportions based on the size being made.
Personally, the most compelling aspect of Climacool is the refreshing gush of air you get from the footbed with each step. It’s particularly noticeable barefoot, but still comes through when worn with socks. I’ll also note that youtube will inevitably attract dirt (or anything else you might step in) over time, but a quick hose-down restores a like-new condition. I wore youtube to the beach and they were 100% fine all the way through.
The adidas ultra boost all terrain in snow tires price “Glory Grey” releases August 15th via adidas CONFIRMED and select retailers, priced at $160. See official images below if you’re moved to cop.
