ASICS Loads Up On The GEL-1130 For Summer 2025

The ASICS GEL-Kayano 14 and GT-2160 persist as the brand’s premier mesh runners (see experimental swings like the ASICS GT-2160 run for proof). Still, they’ve got a distinguished stable of Y2K kicks across all price ranges if those two icons aren’t entirely your speed. The ASICS GEL-1130 is a perfect example, boasting many of the hallmarks readily associated with that aforementioned duo yet pushing the price to just $100. If you’ve yet to get in on the silhouette, the Japanese giant is trotting out four new make-ups as we consider freshening our summer rotations.

This new crop splits straight down the middle between men’s and women’s colorways, with the ladies’ side hitting on the more naturalistic side of the color wheel. A pair in “Pale Oak” and “Menthol” embraces the tonal end of things, built atop a foundation of low contrast jade with pops of neon green and metallic silver to ensure the turn-of-the-century atmosphere persists. Speaking of, the white and “Green Apple” do-up taps into the default neutral aesthetic that Y2K footwear has majored in, pinning hi-vis of yellow-green at the edges of the shoe and within the crossing Tiger logo.

Swap over to the men’s side for another pair that taps into that same formula, instead utilizing a rosier “Bisque” in those same spots. Finally, closing out this new cadre of colorways is a “Larimar Blue,” utilizing heavy contrast with an aquamarine mesh foundation and glossy overlays in black and silver.

Check out the full slate of ASICS GEL-1130 Summer 2025 colorways included below. If any have caught your eye, follow the respective “Where To Buy” links to place your pre-order, available now to ship out on May 31st. All four pairs carry a $100 retail price, but act soon, as some of these looks are already selling out in select sizes.
