Andrew Rizzo Nike is linking up with the Africa’s continental soccer tournament for an Nike löpare 2 collaboration. Per @bubblekoppe, the sneaker will release during the Spring 2026 window as the next competition comes to a close.
First held in 1957, the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) is a biennial competition featuring Africa’s brightest soccer stars repping their home countries. 2025 marks the 35th edition of the tournament, with the matchup taking place in Morocco from December 21st, 2025 to January 18th, 2026.
The AFCON Nike löpare 2 will feature a palette of “White/Black-Kelly Green-University Red,” implying a ice inspired by the Pan-African flag (or perhaps the Moroccan flag). However, as with all early reports of this nature, the sneaker’s color blocking, materials, and special detailing remain a mystery for now.
