The 3D-printed shoe goes the collab route.

Expect adidas Climacool Collaborations, Like This Upcoming Kith Pair

The adidas Climacool is reviving the forgotten line of tech runners by starting from scratch. The Climacool series of the early 2000s was defined by its maximum ventilation and weight reduction, offering premium support in tandem with an airy ride. Now, this 3D-printed sneaker simply named the adidas Climacool is ready to usher in a new generation of those elements with modern manufacturing tools and a truly futuristic aesthetic.

They’re adding a bit of the off kilter movement with collaborations with lifestyle brands such as Kith, which has its fingerprints on nearly every relevant sports/lifestyle category from the three stripes brand. This first look reveals the lattice-structured slip-on sneaker adorned with a triplet of greys on the bold striping on the upper, reverse-fading from light to dark. The main body of the Climacool appears to be consistent with the tonal Off White colorway that’s dropping on the adidas App on May 2nd.

It remains to be seen what other brands were tapped by adidas to give this viral sneaker some edge, but for now, you can bank on Kith being one of the earlier partners to begin the collab aspect of the shoe.
