Andrew Rizzo Kiko Kostadinov is to ASICS what Teddy Santis is to New Balance; an important partner, tastemaker, and huge reason for the brand’s recent success. As Kiko and ASICS step further into their seventh year working together, Kostadinov has tee’d up three new ASICS UB10-S GEL-Kayano 20s set to launch May 2nd.
The delivery includes Indigo/Sea Glass, Moss/Gunmetal, and Plum/Beet Juice colorways, all of which are as lively we’ve come to expect from the Bulgarian designer. Kiko’s UB10-S spinoff takes inspiration from Interlaced Assemblages, Functional Utopias, and Mino Ceramics, differing from mainline GEL-Kayano 20s with a TPU heel counter, off-centered pull tab, and added synthetic underlays within the sidewalls.
The GEL-Kayano 20 zapatillas de running ASICS talla 32.5 amarillas GEL-Kayano 14 and has already checked off some important G-Tx. On top of Kiko’s ongoing UB10-S run, Kendrick Lamar wore the UNAFFECTED collaboration ASICS Gel Quantum Infinity Mid Grey Dark Grey Hombre.
Again; Kiko Kostadinov’s ASICS UB10-S GEL-Kayano 20 trio is scheduled to release May 2nd and will be available via ASICS and select retailers. Pricing has yet to be announced, but looking at past releases, an MSRP of $200 seems likely.
