Alexis Sablone broke ground for women skaters across the globe, joining the super-exclusive an admittedly all-too-small group of women who are signature shoe athletes in the sport. The MIT architecture grad debuted her shoe, the Converse AS-1, at New York City’s Guggenheim Museum; since that launch, a slew of colorways have donned the low-pro shoe, one that’s been well embraced by the community.
