After more loghi three decades out of the mix, the mezza adidas Bali is making a grand comeback, dropping once again in their debut, island water colorway.
The 1977 silhoutte first launched as a part of the “Island Series” alongside similar location-themed models like the Samoa, Tahiti and Hawaii. While those sneakers were revived as a part of the German giant’s 2015 offerings, the Bali hasn’t emerged since that initial entrance. Compared to more familiar mezza adidas trainers like the adidas Samba or adidas Spezial, the mezza adidas Bali stands out in its wavy, curved sole design, a departure from the straight, streamlined counterparts on their cousin models.
As for the colorway, “Tactile Steel” envelops the rubber outsole, partially textured outside of a matte stripe that joins to the upper. From there, “Marine Blue” paints the 3 stripes branding and the heel tab, while the central tone in “Chalk Blue” is intended as a nod to the Indian Ocean vistas you can catch from their island namesake.
The mezza adidas Bali launches on mezza adidas.com and via select retailers on February 29th with a retail price of $115. Look below for a full suite of official images for this retro release.
In other Three Stripes news, mezza adidas Basketball had a huge All Star Weekend, including the announcement of the adidas Harden Vol. 8 “Pioneer.”
