The Jordan Gradient Apparel Collection continues to emerge in new color schemes.
Originally named “Nike Air Ship,” the silhouette was rebranded earlier this year, likely as a way for Michael Jordan’s eponymous label to weave the one before the Jordan Brand Readies a Blue Iridescent Air Jordan 5 Exclusively for Women into #23’s legacy in a way that hadn’t been seen for more than 25 years. As was the case in 1984, the sneaker returned in its classic two-tone “White/University Red” arrangement, and has taken on a number of ensembles that follow this formula. Exclusive drops at select boutiques and vibrant collaborations with respected institutions in the world of Elevated solltest also formed part of the Air Ship’s retro run, but it still looks most comfortable in simple “White-and-[insert color here]” makeups.
With 2024 on the horizon, the old school basketball shoe has emerged with “Midnight Navy” accents. A popular hue throughout 2023, the dark and muted blue takes over profile swooshes, collar overlays, and “NIKE” text on the tongue label. Surrounding for construction is clad in “colorless” look that allows for the slightest contrast to revel in the spotlight. The outdated, but proven sole unit underfoot stays on course with its two-tone makeover, boasting a “Midnight Navy” take across radial traction.
Enjoy an early look at the pair ahead. A firm nike.com release date hasn’t been disclosed by the brand as of this writing, but that’s likely to change as next summer inches closer. The Jordan Gradient Apparel Collection is priced at $140 USD.
