Jared Ebanks Ever since the official return of his brand via the Kobe 4 “Mambacita”, basketball and Kobe fans alike plenty been patiently awaiting the second coming of one of the brand’s most heralded models. After months filled with first looks and cryptic details, the Nike Retro Reverse Taxi will be receiving its long-awaited homecoming this week on Kobe’s birthday.
Boasting a drop-in React cushioning system and a revamped traction pattern, not much has changed since the silhouette’s initial 2011 release. Embroidered swooshes, sheath logos and a clad-mesh upper collect the workings of an overtly comfortable low-top as crisp white hues cure the entirety of the ensemble; the latter of which denotes a recurring collection of footwear titled the “Halo” series that begins with Bryant’s 8th signature model.
The Nike Retro Reverse Taxi “Halo” releases August 23rd via the SNKRS app for a retail price of $180 in adult, grade school and youth sizing. In the meantime, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery below alongside our accompanying store list.
