Underfoot, the midsole opts for “Velvet Brown” styling once uninterruptedly, while the waffle-patterned outsole favors an all-white finish. No backstory about the latest Nike Vomero retro is known, but the understated color scheme could reference A-COLD-WALL*‘s work.

In 2018, Samuel Ross reworked the silhouette with gradients and non-functional detailing. His Zoom Vomero 5’s didn’t resonate with everyone, but the fashion-forward embraced the new take on an old running sneaker.
