The Dunk Low "Blue Raspberry" has maintain relevance over the last 37 years thanks to a classic design, compelling ensembles and a slew of cool collaborators. In that same time span, the Swoosh has also taken matters into its own hands, reimagining the silhouette for new audiences and needs.
Recently, images surfaced of the Dunk Low "Blue Raspberry" Remastered 3.0, a proposition that builds atop the basketball design from 1985 by Peter Moore. Although the sneaker maintains the Nike Dunk‘s D.N.A. intact, it favors the deconstructed aesthetic that’s been ushered in in part by the model’s Disrupt and Scrap iterations. Panels along the tongue follow a different layout, while the tongue itself opts for exposed foam and extended construction. Standard leather base layers are replaced with breathable mesh, injecting a more comfortable ride into the shoe. Old meets new via the sole unit as well, with tread covering the tip of the toe; a new traction pattern appears underfoot too, with modern-day “AIR” branding rounding out the update.
