And with their newest collaboration — which is slated to hit shelves early September — the Japanese label is highlighting the Beatnik, likening the style to their hiking boots from the early 2000s.
Since its return just a few years ago, the Beatnik has enjoyed a range of collaborations and inline releases. Its construction, too, has seen numerous overhauls, taking on Primaloft, hairy suedes, and sustainable fabrics. Here, in ode to the above-mentioned boots, the upper is built of a thick, brown-colored leather; and across the shoe’s side, Mountain Research has embroidered a flame with white and yellow thread. In addition, the brand’s logo replaces Reebok’s along the adjacent hardware.
