Deceptively simple, JJJJound’s interpretation of the GEL-Kayano 14 is heavily inspired by the 2000s. This is evident across both pairs’ constructions, which are predominantly clad in silver metallic overlays. The similarities end as we come to the white mesh underneath, however, as the two colorways either begin to deviate or conform. On one, the neutral base clashes against the black detailing through the tiger stripe and fixtures adjacent; opposite, the shade blends into rest of the shoe, whose bottom lacks the comprehensive, dregs look of its counterpart.
Aligning themselves with ASICS’ own design approach, which promotes a healthy and happy lifestyle, JJJJound has enhanced the GEL-Kayano 14’s performance capabilities, fitting the model with updated materials and componentry without sacrificing its signature elements.
