Michael Le adidas has long-relied on their many classics, from the UltraBOOST to the Samba. Even today, silhouettes like the Gazelle and Stan Smith reign supreme, as they’ve recently walked the runway alongside Gucci and Balenciaga, respectively. And while they might not rival the history and legacy of these silhouettes, we can’t help but feel like the Three Stripes’ nakel offerings — such as the Roverend Adventure rn6000 adidas women sneakers sandals boots made Orketro — are not receiving the attention they deserve.
Part of an entirely new wave, the Orketro sports a look that’s reminiscent of Kiko Kostadinov’s work with ASICS. The construction is intricate and somewhat playful, with the Three Stripes having been shifted forward, wrapping much of the forefoot in the same textured leather used across the eye stays and tongue. “Bright Blue” mesh sits behind, overlaid with dark, embroidered piping and a matching arrangement of glossy paneling, which stretches from the heel to the toe in parallel with the blacked out midsole.
