Jovani Hernandez Salehe Bembury has quickly become one of New Balance‘s most sought-out collaborators over the last two years thanks to his trail-inspired 574 Yurt design. As part of the partnership’s Spring and Summer 2022 collection, the modified running sneaker is set to drop in a clean “Black/Grey” colorway.
Produced under the “Universal Communication” banner, the upcoming release indulges in all the same design cues as Bembury’s first product eng 1023012 New Balance WS327CA shoes proposition from October 2021. Hairy suede and net-like mesh make up the bulk of the sneaker’s upper, delivering added breathability to the highly-popular silhouette. The biggest updates offered by the “Yurt” variant arrive in the form of a chunky, extra-cushioned sole unit and the whistle protruding at the spine. The pair’s understated color palette deviate from some of Bembbury’s past work, including his Crocs Pollex Clog project.
