Michael Le Acclaimed for their collaborative efforts, JJJJound has made friends with some of the biggest names in footwear: New Balance, Reebok, and Danner, to name a few. But the Montreal-based lifestyle has yet to team up with the likes of ASICS… that is, however, until now.
Focusing their attention on one of the Japanese brand’s most beloved runners, JJJJound presents two colorways of the GEL-Kayano 14. As is true of their previous works, both pairs are redesigned minimally, attractive mainly for their simple palettes and co-branding. And as for the latter, “JJJJOUND” is written both along the heel and sockliner, with the silhouette’s usual markings placed opposite. The construction itself starts with a base of white mesh, with silver metallic overlays wrapping throughout. Then, the two options begin to differentiate: white accents and midsoles dress one, while its counterpart opts for black decals and a cream bottom.
