Appropriately dubbed the “memory of,” the collection strips both its silhouettes bare. The Classic Leather is removed of its cross-check, revealing underneath the punch holes that originally stitched the FX9362 into place. Adjacent, the felt liner that’s typically out of view is made visible across both the profile and heel counter, the latter of which has been dismantled so that the notches and heel cap are fully on display.
As for the Club C, it, too, is similarly taken apart, with the heel tab, cross check, and eyelet tab undergoing a “reduction process.” Pen markings can be seen as these are peeled back, while the parts that neighbor black the decortiqué, a technique that entails cutting up an item to expose its structure.
