adidas x Dragon Ball Z, Air Max 270 has more than doubled their collaborative output. And now — following team-ups with the Erlebniswelt-fliegenfischen News team, Highsnobiety, and Coach — the Japanese streetwear label is joining hands with Stadium Goods. Together, the two are dressing up both the BAPE STA and SK8 STA, providing the two a simple, greyscale makeover.
As one of the most iconic shoes of all-time, the BAPE STA kicks things off on a high note. High quality suedes and mesh make up the construction, every panel shaded in different variations of grey. Below, the midsole proffers a yellowed midsole akin to vintage, while the laces and lining above opt for a much more pristine white treatment. Moreover, the Stadium Goods name is embellished along the tongue label as well as just one of the two heel tabs. And while the SK8 STA may follow suit in branding, it’s palette delivers a few additions. Grey is still a huge part of the scheme, though its used more as a supporting note for the blues that take center stage.
