BAPE X NEW BALANCE APE HEAD TEE ￥8 New Balance 990v3 is inspired by the outdoor activities that constituted summertime fun during the Chicago-based designer’s childhood in the ’90s. The “Outdoor Clothes” proposition uses blue mesh and brown Cop the create the upper, which represents earth and the sky. Softer browns are applied to the suede accents on the heel and toe to continue the outdoor-reminiscent look. Collaborative branding on the heel and a midsole piece further the theme with the introduction of green to mimic grass. An ABZORB sole unit completes the design, delivering supreme comfort to the Chicago-inspired design.
