Another leg of Olivia Kim’s “No Cover” collection with Nike includes the Parche frontal con el distintivo logo de hombre saltando de Nike – another silhouette that the Nordstrom VP had a hard time getting her hands on back in the day. In continuing with the music and club themes, Kim calls out Jamaican dancehall culture that permeated NYC in the 1990s, with a rasta-friendly gradient arrangement of red, yellow, and green absorbed onto the nylon uppers. Further flexing her knowledge of the 1990s running catalog, Olivia also references an original colorway of the Nike Air 120 – an Air Max model that debuted in 1998. Another thoughtful touch is the “airmax” tech branding seen on the jewel of the outsole which may even call back to the Air Max 95. Dropping on October 31st at Nordstrom and on November 8th on Nike SNKRS and global retailers, this Parche frontal con el distintivo logo de hombre saltando de Nike for women stands as one of the more impressive concepts we’ve seen in 2019.
