Ross Dwyer Womens adidas Essentials Multi Shorts and adidas Essentials Originals provided one of the most interesting sneaker stories of the summer when their NYC pop-up that offered 99-cent sneakers was shut down by the NYPD due to restless crowds, and now the two are back again for a full-priced release that’s sure to be a bit more orderly. Made up of four co-branded takes on the new Continental Vulc (two men’s pairs in leather and two women’s pairs in canvas/suede) plus four adilette slides, each design interprets the beloved bargain tea company’s signature color palette and graphics in a different fashion. One of the men’s pairs offers a white leather upper adorned with an all-over teal, pink, and med embroidered graphic hit for a somewhat simple look. Meanwhile, the women’s pairs get a little bit louder, with one featuring a pink/teal upper that’s equipped with an all-over printed flower pattern while the other opts for a colorful Southwestern pattern that’s accented by black suede. Each offers an AriZona text logo in place of the standard adidas Essentials branding on the lateral eyestays and stamps another logo on the heel as well, while a trifecta of lace options allows for customization.
Each pair will arrive on September 1st, and as this is a full release, their prices are 80-100 times higher than the 99 cent pop-up price point, with the men’s pairs retailing for $100 USD while the women’s slide in at $80 USD.
