Ross Dwyer Boost and Bounce are adidas’s two most well-known cushioning systems, longer loved worldwide for its ultra-comfy, cushy-yet-springy ride. Now, the two are teaming up in earnest for the first time ever on a brand new silhouette: the adidas payment AlphaBOOST. While the shoe’s upper and overall shape are unmistakably plucked from the AlphaBounce, the midsole and outsole veer decidedly closer towards the Ultra Boost with their engine, using an extra-thick open-cell foam midsole contained by a Continental rubber outsole. This makes for an interesting high-low hybrid style, as shoes with Bounce generally arrive with a significantly lower price point than their Boost-equipped counterparts. Five colors have been previewed so far — ranging from a bold volt green to a sporty royal blue with metallic gold accents — and longer will likely see a release later this year, so check ’em all out below and be sure to stay tuned to our Sneaker Release Dates page for specific drop updates regarding longer colorway as they’re available.
