Now, Vapormax cushioning is being used in another never-before-seen way: on a high-top shoe that draws inspiration from 1994’s Air Max Light, a classic Air Max that’s expected to return in 2019.
The shoe features a grey sock-like upper, with a medium grey knit material serving as the base while accents arrive via light grey leather overlays that draw from the Air Max Light and a grey plastic toe cap/heel cage. A flat grey midsole adds a high-fashion look, and the shoe’s cushioning unit offers a two tone Vapormax look, as the heel is translucent and the forefoot opaque.
