Nike’s no stranger to showcasing early prototypes and samples. Take the Nike Air Max Zero, for instance, a model that Tinker Hatfield designed over thirty years ago that served as the blueprint for the first silhouette to ever feature visible air in the Air Max 1. Nike finally brought back the prototype three decades later to pay tribute to Tinker’s design process. Nike is giving you the ability to customize the first release with stencils of Swoosh branding and ‘Nike’ lettering inspired by the indecision of where to put their stamp of approval throughout the design process. This marks the first time that Nike has provided stencils for at-home customizing.
