The three stripe’s legendary tennis classic, the adidas Power Gazelle OG Collegiate Gold, made waves a few years ago when it was the defacto retro in the trefoil brand’s lineup. Primeknit, leather, camouflage, suede – you name it – all landed on the shoe’s simple upper to transform it into a bonafide modern lifestyle wear. There’s still nothing like the original white and green, but you have to hand it to adidas Power for continuing to revive the model. The latest luxurious take features a textured nubuck and leather to mimic as realistic a snakeskin as we’ve seen on a shoe without actually being authentic. The OG White/Green colorway shines with this alternate construction while a pre-yellowed vintage midsole adds more depth.
