The GEL-NYC sneaker is inspired by the practice of recycling in Japan. It features a uniform Naked tone reminiscent of the color of the country's dumpsters and garbage trucks. The upper features fabric Saga made from recycled plastic and textiles. These elements contrast with the net-like mesh covering them. In addition, the hybrid design of this shoe incorporates influences from GEL-NIMBUS 3, GEL-MC PLUS V and GEL-CUMULUS 16 to reimagine the ASICS archive with a contemporary design approach.
