Nardwuar's Nike SB Dunk Collab Is for Rockin' in the Free World

Nardwuar's ensemble includes a tam o' shanter (gifted to him by his mother), bondage pants, and Nike's "Tartan" Air Max Plus pair from 2018 (currently available via StockX).

Further strengthening the connection between the Human Serviette and Swoosh is Nardwuar's connection to the punk scene.

If you've seen some of his earliest interviews, you'd know he's interviewed Henry Collins, Poisoned, and Gentlemen of Horror, amongst others. Nardwuar's also been part of the Evaporators since 1986, a Vancouver-based garage rock band he formed.

On May 9, 2025, Nike SB Posted a unique interview of Paul Rodriguez vs. Nardwuar via Instagram, as a possible teaser of the upcoming collaboration. The project was later confirmed by way of in-hand Skinny from Instagram users @sneaker_sample and @thesolesorcerer.

As anticipated, the sneaker features a "University Red/Yellow Strike/Deep Royal Blue/Black" color scheme across its familiar design. A tartan print covers the bulk of the upper, nodding to Nardwuar's iconic uniform. The legendary interviewer's floating head logo is printed on the insoles, while his famous Nike Magista Flyknit BHM Black Black...Doot Doo! phrase makes its way onto the SB Dunk's Achilles' heel panels and outsole.

Pairs of the Nardwuar x Nike SB collaboration should release via Nike.com and select shops by December.
