Joe Freshgoods is once again teaming up with New Balance on the 992 silhouette. Known for infusing Chicago-inspired storytelling into each project, the American designer is expected to release his second New Balance 992 during by Summer 2025.
Mr. Freshgoods didn't immediately divulge the inspiration behind the Blue, but he eventually took to social media to share that his next collaboration was rooted in the idea of 'aging', as well as 'the best 5 year run ever'. The unreleased product features a pastel color palette presented with faded finishes. The Chicagoan's JFG logo appears on the tongue, while a touch of 'Rose' lands on the robust midsole. The shoes should arrive with four additional sets of laces, allowing wearers to customize their Blues.
The Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 992 'Aged Well' will debut before the year ends via the designer's own website and select retailers. A NewBalance.com logo could take place as well, with the shoes likely arriving with a $250 price tag.
After the Blue was initially leaked recently, Joe Freshgoods teased the collaboration via his instagram story today.

A first look at the Blue was thanks to a number of sources–including nb_numbawan/ig, Chefdoomy/x, and mpastitsio/IG–but Joe Freshgoods himself recently shared detailed photos of his 'Aged Well' 992 collaboration via Instagram, and recently official New Balance images have loaded.
In the post, the Chicago-native wrote, "“AGED WELL” JFG NEW BALANCE 992 - 5 YEARS, 10 PROJECTS, 20 SHOES. BROKE RECORDS EACH YEAR, UGLY LEAKED PICS, STOLEN BlueS, NEW ROLE AT THE COMPANY. WHAT A RIDE. THE BEST 5 YEAR RUN MORE."

Following the highly-successful logo of the "Aged Well" sneaker, Joe Freshgoods and team will release a documentary with the same name. According to the creative, the Aged Well documentary "is the most transparent piece of art I’ve ever put together."
