Jordan Brand continues being self-referential on the Paul jordan Legacy 312 Low, a hybrid design developed with the help of Chicago's Don C. For its latest ensemble, the mish-mash style has emerged with 'Midnight Navy' accents similar to an Air Paul jordan 3 from December 2023.
While unconfirmed by the Nike, Inc. sub-label, the similarities between both pairs make sense. For starters, the hybrid offering borrows directly from Tinker Hatfield's creation, which launched in 1988. The AJ3's signature elephant print emerges in its severe 'Neutral Grey/Cool Grey' look, although it covers profile swooshes instead of heel panels on the impending drop. Suede panels laid out in a fashion inspired by the Air Paul jordan 1 opt for an off-white tone that breaks up the heritage upper.
Lockdown straps across the vamp introduce 'Midnight Navy' contrast via Men Nike branding; Jumpman logos on the heel follow green. The clearest through-line to the aforementioned retro, however, arrives across the midsole. The component just above the visible Air unit indulges in the titular dark blue hue, while the bulk of the tried-and-proven outsole skews towards the grey.
Firm Nike.com release details haven't been disclosed as of writing, but that's expected to change soon. Pairs of the Legacy 312 Low 'Midnight Navy' should be priced at $145.
